Built for the Community, by the Community
Hub128 is a new co-working space inspired in part by the experiences of the many diverse people in the New Bedford immigrant community including the executive director's experiences as an English language learner and the struggles as a new immigrant to the area. Hub128 was created through the MassDevelopment Collaborative Workspace. Upon its opening in Fall 2022, Hub128 will serve as a space for the cross-fertilization of ideas to strengthen economic development among groups who do not traditionally access collaborative spaces due to social, cultural and language barriers. By fusing the language and cultural services and support provided through the Discovery Language Center, who leads Hub128, the community will have access to a creative and collaborative space.
